Sin Bandera Indianapolis Concert reviews
Great night with a great blues rock band
I went to the Chicago Theater to see Sin Bandera. It's a great place to see any musical act. The last time I saw them was in '90 for the recycler tour. This show didn't have all the frills of a huge arena show. There were no dancing girls or amazing lighting and stage props. I actually preferred this setup. It was just the three guys doing their thing. The vocals were great, and the blues rock guitar was amazing. Billy was able to stop and talk to the crowd, sharing some local stories and even bringing his dog out on stage. They stuck to the set list, which you can find here. Some people complained that the show wasn't long enough, but it was a standard set of 15 songs, including all the great hits and one new song. They seemed really relaxed and were clearly having a great time. There was no opening act. If I had to lodge a complaint, I would say they could have played a couple more songs, but that's only because they sounded so good. They reminded us that they have been performing for 40 years now. If you like ZZ Top, you better go.
